On your Mac

Make yourself at home.

Start with a working Codex setup on your Mac. Confirm you can open a project and send a prompt using your existing Codex authentication.

Open TapCue on your Mac. Enable its background service and check that both the service and Codex are available. In Projects, add the project folders you want to access from your iPhone.

TapCue only exposes approved projects. Adding a project does not move or upload its folder to the relay.

Bring your devices together

Scan. Pair. You’re connected.

On your Mac, open Pairing and generate a fresh pairing code. On your iPhone, open Macs → Add Mac, allow camera access, and scan it.

For local access, put both devices on the same reachable network and allow Local Network access. For remote access, configure your relay connection on the Mac first, then scan its remote pairing code.

Pairing codes are temporary and private. Only scan a code shown on a Mac you own or are authorized to use.

On your iPhone

Pick up the conversation.

Choose your Mac and project, then open a session. Read the latest activity, send your next instruction, or inspect the available changes.

When a request needs approval, check its Mac, project, action, and permission scope before responding. Keep the Mac awake and reachable while you work from your phone.
